Found mine on season 9 community weekend. There was a brig and a sloop fighting in the distance while my galleon and I got the chest. The two ships continued fighting while we sailed to reapers. One of my crew mates was getting supplies while the other was waiting for the island to load for him, so me and my first mate went to sell it. We got ambushed by 3 players, we both ended up dying but my first mate sold the chest right before he died. My other crew mates killed the attackers. Was definitely my favorite voyage yet

i found one when i had about 20h spent in the game and didn't know what it was. Sold it, and told my friends 2 years later after seeing videos about it, some of my friends who have 2000h spent in the game raged because he never saw one whereas i just stumbled into it during island hoping, it was a little dugged on the shore :D
i have 91, 1h on steam, that's all. pretty lucky if i say so

Found one during the ashen bottle quests. I almost left it behind thinking it was one of those reaper chests with the beacons.

I came across one during the Herald of the Flame event. Since all the hazards were turned off, I spent a day in the Roar and just stumbled across one on one of the smaller islands.

I watched sigy steal one. Explained to my newbie buddy why it was so awesome..1 hour later we’re in the roar doing Athena quests and immediately I find a box of wondrous secrets just sitting on fetchers rest . I freaked out bad. Made me sad that no achievement exists for it though.

I got this from a friend's lucky voyage. I was confused on what it was, but it looked like it sold to reapers.

There may not be any commendations or achievements for it but it will show up in your pirate milestones if you are sailing on a captained ship. It's under "Treasures Sold" at the very bottom. I myself have found 6, one being from the most recent community day pop up plunder. Got really lucky one week and found two. Just frequent the Roar and you'll find one eventually!

I found this box before the existence of seasons in the game (or it was the first season, I don’t remember, it was so long ago). My first thought was: “Oh, this is the same Bastard Jim’s box!”

I found one of these a few weeks ago, had no idea what it was or how rare it was lol, only have 100 hours in the game, but have been grinding for the platinum which I got on Tuesday!

I got one of those a few ours ago and didn't realize how valuble it was so i just logged off without selling it but thank goodness i still have another pop up plunder... Whew!
