Hi Ben, this is a great video. I am new to skateboarding (April 18) at 32 and I tried a Axel Stall drop in (as I am a wimp), I hung up and fell flat on my stomach and fractured my ribs. Was out for 6-7 weeks! I will defo try from a much smaller ramp next time but trying to perfect my rock to fakie and nail my first tail stall! Keep up the great work, Tom from York in the UK

Great advice, I nailed one of these for the first time this morning (relearning to skate at 33). I definitely practiced dropping in from the stall position for a bit on the 2-3 ft ramp until I felt comfortable. Hopefully I’ll be able to move up to the 4ft ramps soon 👌

All of your tutorials are so "thought out" and intentional! Keep up the really great work and thank you. I am just trying to nail this trick right now so I need all the help I can get!

When I’m going for a 50-50, dropping in after is just easier in the moment since you don’t have time to think, you just do cause you’ve already reached that goal of 50-50’ing

I’ve been trying to work on this and wow, you really broke this down to each little component in such a clear and precise way that it really helped. Nice work, thank you!

Thank you, I have been really struggling to get up onto the stall and not be doing some lame sort of stall with my board inside the ramp. I feel it is just a commitment thing, the park here has noping and it freaks me out. I know if I get just one that will be unlocked, it is doing my nut in!!!

2:02 you can notice since he was talking about the form that he has his feet in a comfortable position and his trucks aren't to close and yet not too far they are in the center which is what is meant when he said about bad placement (just so make it more simple I guess.)

Last time I tried, my truck hung up on the copping and I just fell forward really hard
Thank god I’m okay
Since then I tried it a couple times, I can lock both my trucks into 50-50 but I just can’t drop in again cause I’m traumatized from my last experience
Will defo try it again with your advice and I wish I saw your video earlier 🙏

Ben, thanks for all the great lesson details 🛹 it makes it so much easier for us to get better fast! especially the finer details and nuances like wheel placement, and how to work up to it / multiple approaches. It's also awesome that you do flat and transition tricks!

This video really unlocked the stall for me. Especially the bs power slide explanation

I love how he adds in his fail on the bigger quarter pipe because it shows that you won't get everything on the 1st try but if you keep trying you can accomplish your dreams.
