Shawne has always been humble and cool as hell. I remember in 8th grade, he asked my boy, who was a stud in football at the time, for some weightlifting tips. I went to dematha in 9th grade, but when i went to Douglass in the 10th and saw Shawne again, he was jacked and taller than me! He put in that work and deserved the success he got for it!

When he got to the NFL, man outfitted our varsity and JV teams with all new jerseys and gear and hot/cold tubs too. Definitely ain’t forget where he was from. 💯

When I played football in high school at Clovis West we played against Vontez Burfect in 07 and he was so dominant and so much bigger than we were lol. He knocked a couple people out of that game

I went to a defensive specialist camp and Shawne was one of the NFL guys that came through that week. Was him, Julius Peppers, and Terrell Suggs. That was the best football experience I’ve ever had in my life. Those guys were so cool and just teaching us different techniques. I didn’t even realize how crazy it was then to have them helping us

I don’t think people properly realize, if you were unfortunate enough to play amateur football against one of these guys who went on to play in the NFL, they probably fucked you up the whole time. They almost need like another league for just those guys.
