Easy Raised Flower Square: Crochet Spring Garden Box Blanket

Welcome to the Crochet Spring Garden Afghan Stitch Along with our friends at JOANN Fabric & Craft Store. We have a 5 week Stitch Along that will consist of 3 weeks of making your squares. On the 4th week, we will assemble your squares and the final border on the 5th week. Once the last clue is released, we will open up the Stitch Hall of Fame of accepting your emailed photos of your finished afghans for a chance to win 1 of 3 fully loaded yarn totes.

Still finishing off another one of your afghans can't wait to start this one. Where I live it's hard and quite expensive get your wool so sorry will have to use another brand. I got a little frustrated with this one. I was having trouble finding the stitches after I did the popcorns. Then I remembered stitch markers and took the time to put them in as I crocheted and now I am rolling right along. I haven’t made use of my stitch markers much before but this time they saved me from throwing in the towel! Thank you for the great video. I’ll see you 20 squares from now.

Am I the only one who is having trouble getting the stitches to work out when switching to the actual afghan stitch portion of the pattern?  I can get the flower to come out just fine, I'm having trouble with the second color.

I just realized by watching this one I made a mistake on the previous 22 I did!! Oh man.... I did Triple Crochet around the entire round to start the corners. I am just going to carry that mistake all the way thru these I guess. It will change the size right? Also, I was always told the chain on a new round never counts as a stitch so I never count it, so that isn't what I should do it looks like. Sorry, just learned from my grandma and so probably not everything is right. Thank you for the video. I will have my spin on this blanket, it will be unique!
