i met my best friend in the whole world on LittleBigPlanet in 2009. we both got the game as birthday presents and happened into each other's lobby. and through the text chat in-game we begun a friendship that has been going strong for almost 2 decades now. i love LittleBigPlanet and i have countless memories with my best friend, and other friends, playing the game and creating levels. very sad to see it go, it meant a lot to me and to other people. appreciated this video, big fan of MGS and LBP so this was a fun ride down memory lane.

Back when I was much younger, a friend of mine who also had a PS3, one day brought over his copy of LittleBigPlanet 1, which was the game of the year edition, and after playing it for the first time, I absolutely loved the game. He actually let me keep it, because... idk. And ever since then I've been following the series, buying the ones I can, (I didn't have either of the handhelds so I don't have Vita, and only recently got PSP) so as you can see, this series means a lot to me, and that's only the first part of my story right here.

See, the reason I mentioned what version my friend gave me, is because thanks to it being the goty edition, it included the Metal Gear DLC packs on the disc, (Both levels and costumes) and those were always some of my favorite things back then. And that made me want to keep an eye on the Metal Gear series, since I wanted to see what the actual games were like; other cameo appearances like Raiden in Playstation All-Stars (Yes, I like that game) definitely kept me going, and now more recently, I own the Legacy Collection versions of the HD Collection and 4, MGS1 on PS1, and both 5 games; Even if I haven't had the time to play them, I'm definitely excited for when I do, and I kinda have LittleBigPlanet to thank for that.

As I'm sure you can guess, the server issues and now delist of LBP has disappointed me, and to see 3 meet that fate just makes it even worse; Thank goodness for fan preservation.

So to put it in short, I'm gonna go look at what DLC is on the PS4 store is free and see what I like there besides the MGSV stuff now.

Yeah, it was rough seeing LBP die back in February.
Grew up on this series. Will never be the same without it.
LBP and MGS4 were my favorite games on my PS3 as a kid.

Also, on the note of the MH crossover, I am more than willing to assist you if you're up for Peace Walker on PS3 to do the hunts.
I do not however have access to Monster Hunter Portable 3rd.

I actually played the metal gear X monster hunter stuff recently using an emulator of peace walker, they're all super fun levels and it's a good Easter egg to activate with the steps being simple.

I have so much nostalgia and happiness from little big planet 2 and 3, getting off school on a Friday and asking to spend the night at my friend up the street from me and we would play all day and eventually I would go home on Saturday. Seeing it go makes me so sad, I hope eventually someone will make something as original as LBP for the generations to come.

Imagine just going scorched earth on an entire franchise.

I can't believe I am watching a video about Metal Gear x Little Big Planet at just the point I finally want to truly dive in to both series and the get hit with Persona music at the end lmao. Actually thank you so much for making this because while I own LBP 1 and 2, I only beat 3 and never looked into either's DLC because I thought it was only costume packs. Knowing that you can find levels and that they might be delisted soon will definitely push me to look into it. Also just got a vita and psp (partly for persona because those physical prices are scary) so now I can check all LBP platforms!!!

Im just glad I can keep my personal favourite costume, "Mr Yellow Head" and keep it preserved in all three games

It can't be overstated how important the MGS DLC was to Little Big Planet -- the paintenator was the only way to add a real weapon to your LBP levels, and the only way for many kids with overprotective parents (like me) to play shooters on PS3

I wish we'd get these games for PC. Ideally, with some way to share levels that doesn't require a central server, and the ability for people to host their own games. But... It just doesn't seem like it's going to happen. :(

Playing this level in 2012 was such a cool experience

The LBP: Game of the Year Edition on disc contains the MGS4 content, can confirm it works offline.

The Metal Gear level pack was my first exposure to Metal Gear as a kid, I remember the only reason why I got it was because I thought the Gurlukovich uniform looked so cool lmao
