Metal contest 2: Fighting for Copper Dendrites

Показать описание
This experiment shows the ability of more active metals like tin, iron and zinc to displace less active copper from the solution of copper sulfate. The copper metal forms beautiful dendrites. It looks like the most active metal zinc shows the most abundant growth of copper dendrites.

For the MEL science subscribers this experiment (which is not included in a subscription) can be easily performed with supplies from the "Tin" and "Metal contest" sets. You can use the tin hedgehog instead of a tin pallet and a nail or a paper clip as a piece of iron. Or try other metals around.
