A prime example of a spoof/joke trailer, that caught people’s attention and was later made into a couple movies was Machete and Machete Kills.

I think it was the scene with Johnny Trejo jumping a bike with an attached mini gun on the front and eviscerating all the bad guys on the ground!

Loved it from the parody Mario Kart, insulting the Entertainment medium obsession of darkening the tone of properties, and the pandering masked inclusivity that sometimes feel like insulting parody of underrepresented groups. Also it kinda gave me “Mario Warfare” vibes from my early teen days.

Pedro Pascal as Mario really works, and if they keep this as the base idea to go with.... it would reaally work

also if I recall correctly, Deadpool started out with short teaser trailers leaked, which got a lot of feedback from fans who wanted to see it, i just hope this gets the same results
