You should definitely give the acustica plugins a try. I think they sound just like on a whole another level then everything else

Nice list and thanks for the roundup... Any thoughts on how the E27 EQ compares to the Maag EQ4? Will be a week or so till I can demo! (in terms of sound not technical differences - high end sheen, mid smoothness, bass etc)

Hi Greg! Why don't you like SSL console (4000/9000)? What is you don't fancy about SSL console eq's or the buss comp? Its true that is a one trick pony, but there is some punch that no other buss does (att 20-30ms, release auto or 0, 1 ms). I don't say its the one and only. I like and use buss comps like the API2500, Neve, Red, Vari-µ and even the PIE comp etc. And I like on my master buss the opto 2A compressing 0, 5 to 1db ("kissing the needle") just for its color (after eq'ing) I am talking about plugins here. So, my question was about SSL.
