Using the previous gen sorento as my only car. The diesel HS has 7 seats. 40:20:40 seat split. Able to carry a 10 foot log/rolled carpet with 4 passengers happy. Not sure if there is any SUV sold can just fold the middle seat portion. Easily can tapau a super single bed with all seats down. The current new Sorento does not even have a sunglass holder. Let alone 7 seat diesel option. For those interested in this, but cannot stomach the price, get the previous gen sorento diesel. Save a lot of money which can be used for fuel or IKEA trips.

KIA can make the Sorento a more thoughtful vehicle by:
1) extending the ambient light to the rear doors, just like what the front doors have, &
2) lighting up the cabin light of the boot whenever opening a car door (not only the boot) so that it can light up the 3rd row for better access (since most of the models come with a 3rd row seats).

I do agree on not having the rear door with keyless entry, least you get a better security, any stranger would have hop into the rear door and you won't have time to react as you're going in.

i dont understand the DCT pairing with the diesel...every review i watch about the Sorento shoots its DCT behavior, the 2.5 petrol feels so underpowered for this type of vehicle and weight
