That Babalaza is used in South Africa too but we call it Babalaz

My family is from Mozambique but I’ve never heard mata-bicho (we actually say café da manhã weirdly)! Such a fun word though ☺️ I thought babalaza was the only way to say hungover LOL

Babalas is also used in South Africa. Crazy how Mozambique uses the same word, just spelt differently.

Yes my family grew up there so mata bicho has been common to hear. Even in Port i hear mata bicho from many though
