I feel like Dan Harmon did an injustice to the Michelle Slater character by making her be the one who breaks up with Jeff. Harmon admitted that he had to do it to accommodate Katherine McPhee's guest appearance as Amber, who had to have a brief romantic association with Jeff.

I love how Slater, being a professor of statistics, is here calculating the odds and failed.
