Tiago Lemos told me how to learn front tailslides. Tiago Lemos said step one is to learn front 5050 grind but then Tiago Lemos said after that I need to learn switch backside noseslide. Tiago Lemos said this will teach the correct body position. Then Tiago Lemos told me I need to have really good front 180's. At that point tiago lemos said to do a front tailslide I just need to pop a good 180 then keep my weight forward like the switch noseslide to get the right body position. Great vid. You gotta over rotate for tailslides. You don't want the front wheel touching the ledge

He's the first person I've ever heard say learn switch noseslides first. But he's pro and switch is easy for him anyway lol. I learned fs tails by first doing a fs 5-0 and pivoting into a tailslide and then eventually working on just popping into a tail stall with basically no speed but the correct angle and then threw it all together and got the feel of the trick. The hardest part for most people is probably not popping high enough and so they either can't lock in or their weight isn't over the tail if they do.

something i figured out after about 3/4 year of skating is that you shouldnt be afraid to really use your hardware. No matter how careful you are, something on your board is bound to break, EVENTUALLY. So just send it.
