The Weeping Wall - Waialeale Blue Hole FallsTrail

Easily one of the most difficult hikes I've ever encountered.

From the start, the drive in is challenging... without 4WD, forget about it. You'll definitely drive through a few feet of water at parts. Narrow road, no lights, daunting before it begins.

You get to the trailhead and just start guessing where to go. You'll cross back and forth across the water, hoping that no flash floods arrive. It's tough to get to high ground at parts. The trail had many slippery rocks and hanging branches. I was bruised and battered by the end.

Eventually you reach a beautiful waterfall (but not the main event) and the canyon branches. From here, it's a big guessing game. I encountered a gate that chased me in another direction, but I later found an entry point. I went through thigh deep mud, up, down, up, down and finally saw the falls.

The falls at the end are so much larger than they appear in images. Once you get within 100 feet, it's difficult to even look because the wind and water is so intense.

And hey, if you break a leg, there are many helicopters flying overhead.
