Показать описание

The new-generation Ford Transit Custom van range replaces the existing model, which was widely considered the best driving cargo van of all of them.

And this new one? Yep, still great to drive, but it costs a whole lot more this time around! You'll learn all about the pricing, specs, tech and safety gear in this review, as well as what it's like inside the cabin, the usability of the cargo area and much, much more (including fuel consumption!).

I just brought a new lwb Peugeot Expert. No adblue and Peugeot has a service interval of 15, 000km which is more intelligent. Your reviews are simply the best there are

Nicely done Matt 😊
A fleet I’m involved with is about to buy a bunch of them, so let’s see how they go!

Compared to my 2015 Transit Custom, sounds like a lot of headaches to me. Im ready to trade but not liking DPF, adblue, automatic, will lose overhead radio/sunglasses holder, cup holders in centre... great review, put me off one though. Will have to look after my '15.

30, 000 km service intervals is ridiculous. Oil can't possibly keep its lubricity for that long and the oil galleries will just get gummed up. Not great for bearings and turbochargers.

Drivers side sliding door should be standard, especially for Australia, less models to stock, if you don't need it, don't use it. Lets talks about the painted bumpers... why? Its cheaper to have them unpainted, hides scratches and repair costs are lower, and it looks less egg like in the white. The wheel covers are a mistake, just stick with silver steel wheels, this is a work vehicle! The passenger seat is not comfortable, give us the single full passenger seat option like Europe. The lack of keyless entry is a weird spec choice considering it has keyless start, you pull the key out unlock then put it back in your pocket?. The Sport does have keyless entry. Totally agree the square wheel is stupid. You didn't mention the lift back option. Great for tradies that don't put pallets in vans. That load through area under the front seats can be useful, but confused why it doesn't open further into the foot well like the Traffic. The parke brake button is so far from the gear lever it doesn't make sense.... what would make sense is it just doing it for you when shift in and out of park.... like a Tesla. The blinkers on the left is super annoying, Ford manages to change this for its other models in our market.

Vans are amazing work vehicle. I'm hoping to get out of Hilux/LC and into a van of sort.

I’ve had a dual cab sport on order since February, due in November, swapping my Ranger over, just not sure about what it’ll be like to live with every day…..

I wonder how many look at this van as a house.😅

There are a lot of “not ideal”, seems like the excuses seem to be “it’s a work van”. It’s not good enough. I have an LDV G10+ with now 140, 000 trouble free kms on it. New was 36k. You could forgive the transit if it was cheaper but it’s not, it’s an expensive van.

New models from Ford=bad idea. They get you to do the bug testing

So they've removed the useful barn door stays that prevent the doors blowing out into passing traffic or parked cars and given us useless electronic door latches that won't let you access the back when they inevitably fail. They've removed both vanity mirrors, the padded lining with coat hooks on bulkhead , replaced continental tyres for dunlops and decided to significantly increase the price. How on earth has the new model lost 100kg gained 2 extra forward gears yet the fuel consumption has gone up? And the idiot ford engineers that signed off on installing the gear selector where the wipers were on the old model should all be sacked ( do they not know what muscle memory is). I own a 2019 that's done 240k and given me no issues at all and was looking forward to the new model but this is a huge disappointment. Will be looking at other lwb alternatives.
