this is rlly sad and this is an example of what some ppl would actually say its sick. no one should be treated that way, it sucks to see. skin color doesn't matter, its not about how you look. even tho its a movie i feel bad for the kid, infact anyone who has had this happen.

As Latino, i saw this series and damn, they should have called it "White people agains't black kid" Even their parents were racist.

“Excuse me is this man bothering you?”

“Well yes but there’s not much we can do about it, he’s our son”

now that’s a true dad quote right there 🤣💀

Its very sad when people show their racist side, I have a black step daughter 4 going on five. I have been stopped so many times by black people thinking I kidnapped her. White people staring blatantly. It sometimes isn't easy when she asks me why people give us dirty looks. Or why people look at me her daddy with such dirty looks from both sides of the color spectrum. Ive had black couples try and take my kid from my shopping cart. Had the cops called on me three times while shopping thinking I just took my daughter from someone. Had to call my girl on multiple occasions when she was really young before she could speak properly to defend me. Thankfully my daughter does the defending when we get approached now a days. She is very sharp and very smart so when someone stares to long or gives a sneering comment she comes back at them with your "racist side is showing".

I went through this. Nothing like being reminded you're black almost everyday of your childhood.

As someone’s who was adopted (I’m Asian, my parents are white) this is true sometimes lol

Im glad the parents never treated him differently, but acknowledge his struggles and support him through it.

Woke up on my birthday seeing 40k likes while my comment section doesn't get that it's a joke 😂

As a black mother of 2 interracial children I found this hard to watch.Watched the series never finished. His parents were tone deaf to so many of his struggles. That traffic stop was a teachable moment for them all and they missed it.Even with him being cold and asking them to make it bearable. This was sad, and I understood why he took the stand he did.He stood up for himself finally, despite the consequences. Being black in this country is a mental load that no one else could ever understand!

The centuries of hate and judgment are wild when they've done all the evil all over the world.😢

"I think about _getting one_ all the time"
The way she said that. Especially "getting one". She says it like they're dogs

I'm grateful to be born in Africa...I can walk, drive and have fun any time without worrying about being shot by some police officer for no reason. #BlessedAfrica
