I tried making dye with the avocado, and black beans. Both worked well. The beans you do not cook like the avocado skins and pits. They (black beans) make a soft blue with a pinkish tint.

The mushroom granny squares are my favorite. I do not crochet nor even use either of my 2 Sentro's. My love is loom knitting. But I love watching yarn related videos while I work.
