In fact, Jesus claimed the opposite—people must change before society can get better—and He demonstrated that by loving the unlovable and caring for the rejected. Changed hearts change society." I too believe this is the most optimal way to do ministry. I told a man this over 30 years ago when he was giving me a hard time about not being proactive in the anti-apartheid movement. I think it's noteworthy to point out that even though Jesus spoke to the social ills of his time, he never involved himself in their activism.
