RIP Benny. I remembered back in the day when I was a security guard at the Marina Del Rey Gelson’s market, Benny would come in as he always to shop but this time into The Night was playing over the speakers. Benny looked at me and said, “That’s my song. I’m the guy who sings that song!” When he told me that I laughed because I would see him almost every day shopping never knowing who he really was. Benny was a nice guy very respectful and a pleasure to have been able to meet. Love you Benny!

Great, great job on a tough one! Lead singer nails it, WOW! Great job Daniel...I was keyboard player for Benny and co-writer/producer with him for a good 20 years, starting in 1980, the year this was originally released. Just amazing job. I don't recall ever hearing anyone attempt to cover this, and you can certainly guess why. Benny would be very proud, I am certain.
