Watch all the way to the end to see two finished samples and our clever hack to use up fat quarters instead of buying a backing! This pattern is called Charm Tuesday and I have slightly altered the directions to make it a little easier to make quickly! How fast can you make this quilt?

I love charm packs! Those cute little bundles of fabric lure me in and make me buy them.
Now I need to start using them before the collection I have overwhelms me! Fortunately there are hundreds of awesome projects that use charm packs to make anything from full sized quilts to baby quilts to bags and more! We will be using charm packs for all of the projects in this series of videos but leftover fabrics from projects cut into 5" squares will also work! Most of the videos will include a sample made from a charm pack (or two or three or more) AND a sample made from leftovers from other projects.

Make your own charm packs! Cut up your stash and create your own charm packs using fabric you already own. One fat quarter can be cut up to make 12 five inch squares. A third of a yard of fabric can be cut up to make 16 five inch squares. When you finish a project, if you have leftover yardage, cut it into five inch squares and start a pile to use for future projects. Have some fun with your stash of fabrics!

I love the way you demonstrate, saving time, ironing and being frugal with all your pieces. Waste not, want not, and they all came out beautiful,

I used 1 charm pack (37.5 squares) for a size of 22x30 - which I'll add 6"borders. Great video and pattern...very quick babyquilt.

This is a fantastic quilt! I actually like the version where you used lights for the darks best. I can see how 2.5 inch strips could be used also 😉

I was surprised how it turned out. I have never made a scrappy quilt. Afraid to make one and hate it. This worked well. Thank you.

I love this pattern and how you simplified the piecing!
I have so many charm packs that I have collected over the years, that this is the perfect project to use them up and the perfect project to take to my next retreat. Thanks.
