Love your advice for the most part, but I actually like the overtly “girly” look with a cute dress and ballet flats. Plus I live in flats, as my feet can’t handle heels anymore.

Funny how subjective fashion can be. I like almost all the don'ts more than the dos. Doing these kinds of videos can be tricky. I actually really love the ballet flats with that 'fussy' midi skirt at the end, I would definitely wear it that way! But otherwise I completely agree!

There’s something appealing and nostalgic about the girliness with the ballet flats. I think trying to modernize them is fine but using them as “intended” still looks great and holds up!

For you is "too girly" because your body typology is not feminine and you feel weird with that look. For me, as a hourglass and pure romantic type it's absolutely fine and adequate and looks amazing on me.
