Welcome to the CodeX Cantina where our mission is to get more people talking about books! Was there a theme or meaning you wanted us to talk about further? Let us know in the comments below! Today we are looking at "The Triumph" ("O Triunfo") which is Lispector's first published work! A story about a man's struggle with his career and relationship but told from his lover's point of view. What is strength in a relationship? Do relationships mean we give up who we are to combine with others?

Every time you two talk about Lispector, or I hear anyone talk about Lispector, I just know when I finally do get into her work, I will get the same feeling I did when I finally started reading Borges--a slight regret that I didn't pick them up years earlier, but glad I eventually did haha
