you got the wrong size nucleus. when you have small ants like etc you should always get your tar heel formicarium made to order. Mack does a good job keeping small ants locked up if he makes the nest to order but his ready to ship items are best for medium to large sized ants like larger crematogastor, camponatous, formica, etc

That nest is meant for medium or large species. The ones for tiny/small have 4 levels.

Try and put baby powder or rubbing alcohol or wrap the edges with tape so even if they squeeze through they still have to go through tape its probably not heakthy for the ants just saying love your channel bye😀😃

Never seen fire ants in real life but they look closer to Pharoah ants or I may be wrong nice vedio 😀

A simple way to fix it would probably be tou either tape or use some hot glue along the outer edges of the glass to seal that escape route, but you would have to monitor it for when they inevitably try chew through it.

This might be a good temp fix until you can get a more secure nesting area for them to move into.

GO BIGGER!! if they're escaping the either need more room or change the food. They may be smalling something better that what they're being given.. maybe try that first than go bigger... hell maybe design your own bigger nest and have someone make it with a 3d printer or something.... I may have a few ideas as far as what you can do bit not how lol ey man hit me up and we can talk about it with out folks stealing ideas lol

Fire ants are very good escapist I usually keep them in a plastic tub where they can't chew through smooth plastic they are like Asian marauder ants they can chew through ytong plaster and concrete

Use "flex tape!" To cover up the edges of the tank

Put silicon around the edge it should make it harder to get out or at least make it slower

New nest, but silicone the glass on in the meantime. I'm sure they will chew through silicone, but it will slow them down.

What about taking a rotary tool making a line on the outside perimeter of the formicarium and then filling it with silicone to prevent escapes, you would still be able to screw it on and off it would just be actually sealed for once .

Maybe get a new cage or move the nest forward and not moving it anymore, or maybe just build a roof?

put diomataceous chalk (i dont know how to spell it) around the ant farm thing so if the ants escape they will die.
