I had an iPhone 7+ from 2016 to 2022. From March 2022 until a few days ago I was using an iPhone SE 3rd gen. The screen size on that phone is the same as the iPhone 7. It was way too tiny for me and as a result it was harder to use my phone. I really missed the larger screen of the 7+. But the 7+ had become so slow that even the most basic tasks such as checking emails or texting took painstakingly long. So I tolerated the small size of the SE 3rd gen for two years, until I got an iPhone 15 Pro Max. The larger screen size has made me more productive, and it’s so much easier to browse the Internet. Even typing is so much easier. As a photographer I’m really enjoying the great photo/video quality. This thing can shoot cinematic quality 4K video. I really don’t like the lack of a physical SIM card tray on the US models, so I purchased my phone in Canada when I was there for vacation. I love this phone!

I'm still using an iPhone 7 (November 2024) and it's pretty good overall. I just bought a battery case so I'm not worried about battery life (I'm not really on social media and I'm going to buy a digital camera for talking pictures) 😊 I love the size of this phone so much.

I agree it's nostalgic to used an old phone's camera... more realistic..
You're lucky you still have a working iPhone 7. mine already had a baseband issue which is sad i can't afford to buy one...

My first iPhone was an iPhone 7...then I upgraded to an 11 Pro, but then recently, I bought an iPhone SE 3rd Gen because it reminds me of my old 7...and I love it.

You keep saying the phone is good but don’t buy it which doesn’t make any sense. I use these older iPhones exclusively and never have issues with anything. Quit worrying about security so much it’s not really an issue like you think it is. Apps on iPhone are sandboxed and don’t have access to anything else in the phone data other apps etc.

I’m using iPhone 7 now in 2024. Battery life is kinda okay. If you are heavy user, 4-5 hours is the limit before you have to recharge

Just got a 128gb 7 to act as a dedicated iPod and completely agree with the look and feel in hand. I really love holding this thing!

Now I'm grabbing a 256gb 7+ to do multi-duties for music, video, and reading. Crazy eBay deals!

I recently got an iPhone 7, and I love having a smaller phone that keeps me focused since I only use a few essential apps. However, I've faced some challenges with app compatibility—many apps require iOS 16, which my iPhone 7 can't run. I even had to ask a friend to log in with my Apple ID on their phone just to "purchase" some apps so I could download older versions.

Based on my experience, I would recommend going for the iPhone SE (2nd or 3rd generation) instead of the iPhone 7. It has a similar size but offers more up-to-date software support.

I’m still using an iPhone 7 but now looking for an upgrade I’ve had it from new about 7 years ago, it’s on its second battery. And I’m getting worried about security issues regarding upgrades . But it’s been a fantastic phone
