Awwww, BadBat! 🥹 Today is the first time that "I" actually cried watching your daily vid. You have no idea how much your AT journey has meant to so many of us. We never even met you and yet, we showed up every day to accompany you on your 2200 mile trek. You're a special person and we're going to miss you. When you started your journey, I was in treatment for severe depression and homebound. As a former hiker, I stumbled upon your videos, as well as the incredible Nahamsha's. I can honestly say that all of our journeys paralleled metaphorically. The struggles, the joys, the frustrations, the delights, the obstacles, and finally the acceptance of what life throws our way. Your vids were always something to look forward to (which is crucial in life). Even on your darkest days on trail you inspired because I wanted to "shake you out of it". I was yelling at your videos going "Come on, BadBat! Come on! You can do it!!!" When, really? I was yelling at myself to "not give up" on life because I thought about it. So, as you remember & reminisce & recall & rejoice, remember this... YOU were instrumental in helping a stranger in the battle for her life. I am back in the world now having completed 3 therapy programs... Mental Health, BadBat, & Nahamsha. Your life has meaning and your AT journey was part & parcel to my recovery. (But, no pressure. Ha Ha!) That's why I love the internet... I get to meet people filled with light in a dark world. You are one such person and I will miss you terribly. Don't forget to pop in once in awhile on YouTube to say hello, okay? Tell Nick, hi, too! But, until then... On this side of the camera, we still have 10 days to go!!! Woooo-Hoooo! Soooo, Hundred Mile Wilderness, here she comes!!! Wish I suggested sooner to also try New England fried clams w bellys dipped in tarter sauce. Steamers are also delicious imo. Ugh on places being closed. Recall an ice-cream place or similar being closed on the way up. Maybe coffee too!

When you do your post hike gear video I would like to hear why you could do without the items you sent home prior to the 100 mile wilderness but needed those items before you got to that point in your trek. Be safe those last miles, we will be watching.
