Barnett Whitetail pro str Large white tail buck

Had a nice large buck come right under me and missed all his vitals. A month and half later he is healthy and still walking the property.

Not gonna trash be shot but it looked like the bolt came out of the cross bow wonky (technical term) looks like you were aiming dead center but it came out weird

I'm not making this comment to trash you but that was a horrendous choice for shot placement. I'm assuming you never found the deer? Since you were never presented with an ethical broadside shot from a good angle you should have just let him pass by and tried him again. If you were going to take a low percentage should you should have aimed for the middle of his neck when he was right under you. If you hit your mark he would have been dead extremely fast
