LALAL.AI - The Best Stem Separator On The Market? 🤔💭

Is LALAL.AI the best stem separator tool on the market?

It's certainly very easy to use, priced competitively and holds up very well against the four we put through their paces in our 'Stem Separation Shootout'.

You can watch that here where we show you just how powerful AudioNamix, Ripx DeepRemix by Hit n Mix, Spectralyers Pro 8 and Izotope RX 8 are.

LALAL.AI is something different, however. It's an application online that is DAW agnostic so in that alone it stands out from the others. And it seems to do a killer job which makes sampling, remixing and live performance particularly exciting.

A word of warning about sampling. There are rights and wrongs, and you should familiarise yourself here before getting into a squeeze:

Lalal is the move. I use it myself. The extractions are rather clean depending on what separation type you choose e.g., some samples work better with Vocal and Instrumental separation while others work better with Bass separation.

If I want to remove vocals and wind. Do I first have to separate vocals from instruments and than later wind from instruments in a second step?

Not every song works perfectly but you it allows you to play along or even sing to a backing track.

I tried it just once to extract a bass stem - did not do well. It’s great at Vocals.

Is it possible to remove the bass and vocals simultaneously?

Ripx better for stems . Lalal is fine for vocals but other elements are compressed too heavily

could you also detail the process you follow between the identification of a song you would like to extract de voice/vocals from, and the integration of this downloaded file from Lalalai in ableton please ?
i have issues to find a smooth and efficient process (format of the file, place of the file on your drive, conversion of the song you like from youtube until lalalai and then ableton ?
thx for your help caused so far i paid 30euros for the subscriptions for nothing and lalalali support hides behind their limited support scope and professes
thx a lot for your time !!!

The ai tools all use different training data.

That makes em not useable on every track equally

I have a track with close vocal harmonies where I'd like to transcribe the individual parts. I'm struggling to hear each part separately. Can Lalal separate these, do you think? Thanks.

can this do guitar solos if there is a left and right channel seperation for the guitar solo which is essentiallt two layered guitar solos which either play their own rhythms or harmonize? Or should I just use RX for that?

Hi.
So if I upload a 10 minute track and download just the drums & guitar, that counts as 20 minutes used?

That guitar on the rock song is really cleanly separated

The division of stems is of high quality. Unfortunately, it is expensive for serious work, not worth it...
