3x Stardust, but the LOSER Has to Spend it ALL...

I came up with another bad idea to spice up Alolan Geodude Community Day in Pokémon GO... I met up with @MYSTlC7, @JTGily, and @AwesomeAdam to catch shiny Geodude, get triple stardust, and make an irresponsible bet.

So long cool story. I'm 33 and have been skating on and off for 21 years of my life, and recently have been going through a lot of hard times here lately. The day before this community day my mother was at our local dump and a man asked her if she had any kids that might want a skateboard.. she replied that she has a 33 year old kid and gladly accepted the setup that he was about to toss. Turns out it's a Superior deck, with matching red and white thunder trucks, bones bearings, and bones wheels.. So basically I got a free $200 setup and spent my comm day at our local free beautiful concrete skate park here in Georgia and had the best day in a long while skating and chatting with the local kids and older gentlemen there.

I also witnessed one of the most beautiful things I've seen in a long time between people! There was a kid totally shredding with an older chipped up board he had and one of the older guys there noticed how good he was with such a sub optimal deck.. the man said his goodbyes pretty early after he had been there only to come back 30 minutes later with a brand new deck from the skate shop down the street and handed it to the young fella telling him he deserved a better deck! The young man hugged the deck and thanked the man for being a complete legend. It was just one of those things that you never see anymore and I just had to share it somewhere. Hope you see this Nick, love what you do and how real you are brother. 💚 Sorry for leaving such a long comment, but this had to be spread somehow. Wishing everyone the best in Pokémon or just in life.

Btw the I also got a sunburn and that was what triggered the idea to share this story here! 🤣 Shea butter lotion is better than aloe vera btw. Lol.

We had an in person niantic meet up spot in boston that didn’t add any stops for the event too, strangely the park with the virtual event extra items had a few extra stops though. Seems like all the in person spots should get those crazy extra stops to get people to come out.

At 2:49, we see Nick powering up the Chespin at 4, 471, 203 stardust. Accounting for the 15 Geodude he already caught, let's round it off to having started at 4, 450, 000 stardust. Then upon completion of the event and about to power up the Mr. Rime at 11:02, we see Nick with 4, 600, 628 stardust. That amounts to about 150k stardust earned during the event times of which he spent 277, 400. So yeah, 54% of the stardust used was earned during the event.

That was the lamest community day! I played the whole time and got two shinies. Other people in my area had similar results. And a few did signifcantly better. I was hoping for party cloudy weather for the stardust, but it was sunny until 2 pm. Them it turner to partly cloudy. I miss having a longer time to play, and being able to play at a more optimal time for many reasons.

Same happened in Miami, they announced a meetup at a mall that's a tourists trap next to the bay, and they even used those pesky balloons to pitch it every day, but when we got there only the regular pokestops were available, everyone was dispersed everywhere so no real community happened, and what's funny is that the people greeting trainers at the Niantic's tent didn't even have a clue of what Pokemon Go was, they were just two people hired by an advertisement company to be there handing out Niantic stickers. I drove 40 miles to get there so what a disappointment it was.

Was at the Beverly Connection yesterday as well. My friend and I were concerned about the one pokestop. We were going to go back to our favorite park for Comm day but out of nowhere about 10 pokestops popped up.

You're not trying too hard with orange pants. I wore an orange top and so did a friend of mine. I got 5 & she got like 10 or 13 I don't remember. I'm just happy to have the family now. I was hoping for Kanto geodude also but it didn't happen.
