US President Joe Biden has made a big change in his policy after meeting with Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on his tour of the Middle East.

During his election campaign in 2019, President Biden vowed to make Saudi Arabia a "pariah" state.

It came after the CIA concluded the crown prince had approved the brutal killing of the journalist Jamal Khashoggi inside the Istanbul consulate.

The Saudi state has denied the findings of the CIA.

Americans are in no position to speak about human rights. How can Americans criticise Saudi for assasinating 1 man, when Americans wiped out entire villages with drone strikes in Afghanistan?

Biden : Do you happen to know Khashoggi?
Saudi Prince: Yes, I do. What's up?
Biden : Ah, Good.
Saudi Prince : And?
Biden : The oil, the oil you have, ...Which I really care about... is more democratic than Russian's.... I can certify it as democratic oil.
Saudi Prince: Thank you.
BBC: Biden did raised the question to Saudi pariah about Khashoggi, and the meeting is significant.

Funny how Europe has principles when it comes to Russia. Meanwhile principles go out the window when it comes to Europes relationship with America.

(USA) America calls it "Liberation" instead of "Invasion". That was what US call it in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Somalia and the list goes on... Why the double standard? Confused... Please enlighten. Genuine question...

So basically there’s no difference between Trump and Biden in regards to Middle Eastern Foreign policy.

“The Khassogi murder was raised during the discussions.” Well what the devil is the point of telling a murderer he’s a murderer? The guy already knows.

@BBC News, When the incident happened,
USA: "Banned Saudi, banned the prince"
When America needs an oil,
USA: "Hey bro, long time no see"
And this is the person that should be the leader of the world, whose words should be obeyed by other countries.

@BBC please correct the video title. His name is not Prince Salman it's Prince Mohammed. Salman is his dad's name.

Iran-Saudi sudden diplomatic relations
after 6 years of break-up.

A smart move from Saudis
to not put all the eggs in one basket.
The improved relations with Iran, Russia, and China
are a good insurance policy.
It seems US has outplayed its role
in the Middle East.

They are realizing US leadership
is declining in the middle east
for over 15 years.

Asean economy soon will surpass that of the EU.

The US asked Saudi Arabia
to upgrade and renovate the oil refineries in Houston
but the Saudis said no.
But a year later,
the Saudis built a brand new refineries in China
worth about 10 billion dollars.

Is it because the Saudis wants
the US to stay dependent on the oil from them?

The US asked the Saudis repeatedly
to increase production of oil
but there’s a long silence from the other end.

They’re only selling oil to China and to Russia
and they get paid in digital currency,
technology or weapons from Russian.
