Strong damaging winds moved thru Tulsa and surrounding areas just after midnight. Power was out with many power flashes observed across the metro area. Earlier, storms in NW Oklahoma brought strong winds and nice storm structure.

The speed of the storm allowed it to move thru quickly

Lots of trees down

Power is still out

Prayers for cool overcast days with windows open

If it had stalled it would have been really bad

I woke up to water on my dining room floor, it had blown in around closed door and windows.

Here in Sand springs winds were 110 mph. Big trees are down everywhere, on roofs, inside peoples kitchens, across streets, debris, and power poles snapped over, sheds blown apart. Sand springs south of the river is a war zone, we still don't have electricity and its day 5. Gas shortage, ice shortage, QT is running on a generator. People are on edge and easily angry.

Dang, that's a fricking hurricane !!! Praying for them and all the power outages. Followed Andy last night. That guy is an angel, and the truck drivers were saying he really saved them.

Im working in the 41st and Yale area... Just east of the Schusterman Center. Power came back on there about 14:30 this afternoon. I know it's difficult folks but stay patient. They're working on it.

Just a reminder: if you've got a generator wired in to backfeed your panel, be sure to shut your main breaker OFF. If you don't it could backfeed out to the transformer on the pole, energize the lines, and potentially kill the linemen working to restore power.

We slept right through it 😂. Trees down nearby, but looks like we all got through it.

We hid in the bathroom with a boarded window and all our cats and the dog in the bathtub. Blessed to still have power and no damage.

I feel so bad for the people in the path of the storm, I hope everyone was uninjured and survived an event that resembled a strong winds event that I experienced on March 31 (2023) during the March 31-April 1 Tornado Outbreak.

West oklahoma is used to this, imagine if Tulsa was in west Ok, they woukd get destroyed half a dozen times a year, this kinda weather usually avoids Tulsa, as we've seen this year and years past, all north, east, west and south, location location, location and Tulsa is in the right spot most of the time

There are warnings of the extreme winds and tornadoes 🌪️ roared in Tulsa, Oklahoma and it is a very scary superstorm.

Winds at that speed are Biblical ... At one point the radar was picking up 128mph straight line winds 😳😬

Power's out and lots of things blown over. 😮😮😮

Had there been 115+ mph gusts in there, this would've been the first extreme wind warning outside a hurricane.
