Reconstruction of NLMK Blast furnace No. 6 using BIM technology

NLMK-Engineering, the general designer of NLMK Group, accomplished the project for reconstruction of NLMK Blast furnace No. 6, one of the largest key projects of Strategy 2022, which will help to stably supply BOF shops with cast iron at steel production increase up to 14.2 million tons. When designing the line, a full cycle of BIM modeling technology was used. The project resulted in a more productive and efficient furnace, ensuring the growth of cast iron and steel smelting at NLMK and at the same time - significant reduction of environmental impact.
