Bad Habits - Patty Gurdy (Ed Sheeran + medieval Instruments. Official Video.)

Part 2/2 - In this video I am showing you the final result of Ed Sheeran's Dance Pop song with medieval / folk instruments. I tried to stay close to the original and just replaced the most prominent instruments. The instruments used in this video are called Octaveharpa (Tenor - Nyckelharpa, played with a bow) and hurdy-gurdy (the green one, it has a wheel bow). Ed Sheeran recorded his guitar where I am using the hurdy-gurdy and the synthesizer where I recorded the Octaveharpa. I hope you enjoy this video and you found it entertaining :)
Produced by Felix Heldt and Patty Gurdy, mixed by Felix Heldt, mastered by Christoph Beyerlein.

For a song about the tragedy of addiction, this cover nails it. The look, the aesthetic, the raw opening, love it.

I first ran into her video of "Over the Hills" a few years ago while youtube "surfing". I thought talented girl, good folk song and very unusual instrument. I watched her videos on what a hurdy gurdy was and how she uses it which was cool. A few weeks ago I ran into her video "Horizon Turns Red" and saw how her talent has grown exponentially. "Kalte Winde" just blew me away. I don't speak German and the only thing I wanted in the translation was what the song was about. Listening to her sing in her native language shows her passion in her music and that she was a seriously talented musician. Enjoyed the video "Leaves and Lemons" which was Patty just letting her hair down and having fun now this cover of "Bad Habits" and how she produced the song was just more enjoyment. Thank you for the

I loved- #1 Your goth looking eyes. #2 Your positive energy outflow. #3 Your bounciness too the music and tempo. #4 your drive [ the amount of output of songs]. #5 your unique and diverse instruments that you play in concert and in your videos. Your voice, and in it the accent of your heritage. Shall I go on, Ms. You could have been a great female baseball player, lass! Because you just hit another one out of the ball park!!! Give us Pretty please?? Pretty Patty!!!

Patty is a hero
I found patty about two years ago, and fell in love with everything she put out. Pest and Power was my entire playlist for quite a while.
Life changed, and I ended up divorced, alone, on the road trying to get away, with my upset cat next to me. It was the hardest part of my life, and two things got me through it. That cat, and Patty's music. The line "one by one you've got to sow in ashes, grow and behold" specifically.
Patty, your words, your music, and your spirit helped give me the strength to survive the hardest experience I have ever gone through. You truly are a hero, and should really be wearing a cape in your videos. Thank you so much, for allowing the blossom to unfold.

The song and performance: just great. The girl: just beautiful. The whole package: just perfect. I like it much more than the ed sheeran version, it seems a bit as the song was originally written for you

If i would be ED SHEERAN...i would reach out for this wonderful talented girl and ask her kindly if she wants to do a collaboration....cuz...to be honest without a million Dollar video like ED's original one here is even better than the original.!

Chapeau Madame...truely magnificent!

This song is amazing. I had never heard Ed Sheeran's version. For over a year, I have struggled with the very bad habits this song mentioned. When I first heard your rendition a few months ago, I jokingly remarked to myself "that kind of sounds like me." As I heard it regularly, I started realizing that I was indeed struggling with a bad habit that was negatively affecting my life and probably that of those who I shared this bad habit with. Your song was a major motivation to change my life and make healthier choices, especially when it comes to relationships. I am definitely on the right path to recovery now; and this song is still one of my favorites to listen to. I know you have recently emphasized mental health, especially among men, so I thought you'd appreciate this brief look into my own life and mental highs and lows; I certainly appreciate you being along for the journey.

Wow, EDM vibes with the gurdy is a surprisingly INCREDIBLE combination when done right (like here lol). Amazing work. Your vocals were sooo good here, too.
