When I use time lapse video in my canon 200D it films in ALL-I but normal video is in IPB however I cannot transfer ALL-i to my iPad it says it is not in the right format how can I rectify this please?

I don't quite get the benefits (or I guess the differences) between editing footage. I mean, if I want to colorgrade footage what would the differences be between grading ALL-I or IPB? Because when people say that it is better in ALL-I I don't quite get the meaning behind 'better'

There is no quality difference between IPB and All-I. It's a myth, a misnomer, an assumption people make because we're so used to bigger files equaling higher quality. Think of IPB like those old school .ZIP files. If you take some text documents, or photos, or videos and compress them in a ZIP folder, then unzip them, do you lose any data from the files? No, no you don't, and it's the same with IPB. However, IPB is more processor intensive on both ends, in the camera and on your computer, but if we are speaking only of quality, there is absolutely no difference between the two.
