Audio stored in computer files is encoded: Audio wave signal is transformed into a digital representation, made of frames and bytes. If any information inside the audio file is modified or is missing, it becomes unplayable. When your computer fails to open or read an audio file, it might because the player could not read the code correctly. So, here are 3 methods to fix corrupted audio files.

Method 1: Convert/Save with VLC Media Player
When you fail to open an audio file, it may be opened in another format. To convert the audio file to another format safely, VLC Media Player is recommended.
1. Open VLC Media Player, click on the “Media” section available on the menu bar.
2. Select Convert/Save opetion.
