I love velvet! That midnight blue pants and blazer look is gorgeous 😍
I wear a lot of cardigans, crew and v-neck all through the year. Top tip, switch out the buttons on a plain cardigan you already have for ones with festive bling or pearls and presto you have a special cardigan to see you through the festive season! Switch them back in January and you have your plain cardi back. Even just changing the top button can make such a difference!
I often do it to blazers too!
Buttons can be relatively inexpensive and over the years I've collected quite a few in different sizes so I get a lot of versatility from my classic, plain items!

Thank you for the encouragement. My husband has told me lately that no one dresses up where we are going and I don’t need to. But I have amazing clothes from Talbots and I’m wearing them with JOY. Fashion is my passion! I order ed the sequin skirt in gold but I hope it fits because the sales person said it ran large and I sized down. I plan to wear it to a holiday party with a cashmere sweater in red and red suede slingbacks from Talbots past. Can’t wait for plaid because I have quite a collection. It’s the Scot in me.

I totally agree with you, Kay. Most holiday fashions are timeless. In fact, I purchased a navy tartan plaid wool suit from Talbots last year and I can't wait to wear it again this holiday season. I recently purchased their sequin striped turtle neck sweater and I absolutely love it. They show this sweater paired with their plaid tartan pants, so I am excited to try that look. I also have a pair of their black wide velvet pants that I purchased last year. Thanks for your styling inspiration as always.

Hi Kay, you give me confidence with your tips. For Xmas in my family in law ( in France), I am going to wear a white cardigan with a black neckline and sleeves end ( it.s looks chic and comfortable) and a black trousers with black boots.
