A look at 4 more mound sites. First half of video we look at Mound sites starting in Knox County and end up at an Adena Mound site in tiny Homer, Ohio. Last half of video I read a report of giant skeletons found in Homer in 1824, retold in article about 50 years and a few other reports on what was found here.

CF, nice job! Glad you were able to find my article useful. I hope to find more to write about in Knox County, Ohio, for my column. Many thanks, Mark Sebastian Jordan - History Knox at KnoxPages.com.

I seen one of the giant skeletons from Love Lock back in 1969 and 1970 in a museum in Virgina City. One day we stopped in to see it again and it was gone, i asked them where it was and they said UC Davis took it to do studies on it. it was never returned. It was in a big glass case, and i seen at least 5 times

Excellent research and video! I live in SE Ohio and have been researching giants and the mounds for almost 30 years. You provided a bit of new information. Great job.

Thank you so much for taking the time to do these videos. I grew up in Ohio and was always interested in the mounds, ever since about 3rd grade when I could read a map and my mom and dad and I got in the car and traveled from northwest Ohio to West Virginia. I had no idea there were so many other mounds!! I still own my large Squier & Davis book.

There's a mound in a corn field to the north of Columbus, Ohio in Delaware county. It isn't even listed on any registries as far as I know, but when we were surveying the site for an environmental survey, an archaeologist on our staff identified it.

I asked a ranger at the Newark site why there were so many articles written at the time of the excavations that were reporting 8 foot people . She said that the bones had been fragmented and may have appeared to be larger than they were . She said the newspapers always sensationalize everything . I think she believed that . I’m not sure I do .
Great presentation, thank you

My grandfathe was born and raised in Homer, Ohio in 1908. We thought he was telling I was raised in this area. Had NO CLUE but!!! We found arrowheads ALL THE TIME!

I live 5 miles from homer. And my son plays baseball right next to that mound. Its strange that I've noticed it but never heard any of this story about it. I know the farmer that owns the field so I need to ask him what he knows.

I regards to the giant skeletons I live in green co. Ohio. In 89 I was 17 and I saw a bigfoot next to the little Miami river not far from the cedarville Indian mound. A older friend of mine said he saw one on the mad river near enon. So I started working on an over view between mounds and sightings past and present. And its pretty close. Going to work further on it.

Interesting. I’ve lived in Ohio all of my life and heard of several mounds but I’d not realized they’re so numerous. My parents took me to see the serpent mound when I was younger. Native American culture is fascinating.

I grew up just south of Newark, Ohio and everyone was aware of the earthworks there, but I had no idea there were mounds in Granville, Homer, Mount Vernon and Fredericktown. Thank you for researching these unknown ancient landmarks. The next time I get back to Ohio, I'll make a point of checking out some of these sites.

I believe Abe Lincoln as a congressman gave a speech in which he talks about the giant skeletons found in ancient mounds....and remember he is 'Honest' Abe....they have wiped our collective memories to forget our pasts....
