If you're looking for the best bang-for-buck Solidworks laptop then you found the right video. To get the equal performance you'd have to spend over $5000! ►⏩►⏩ Check availability and pricing in the links below!

A lot of laptops come with an NVIDIA RTX 3050, RTX 3060, RTX 3070 Ti or even RTX 3080 Ti. These laptops perform well on most creator apps, but they substantially lag behind in Solidworks. The only way to get NVIDIA to perform well is to snag a Quadro workstation GPU -- something like the RTX A5000. But if you choose to go with AMD Radeon RX 6700S or the RX 6800S than you can get on-par performance at half the price.

100% for studying. Hoping to become a mechanical engineer (tuition fees in Imperial College London not cheap, don’t fancying adding to my student debt), using it for Solidworks, CAD, blender, MATlab and stuff. Not big on gaming but I do love messing around on blender in my free time

Would be used for my studies, and gaming of course. This is well above my budget, but would be valuable for the next 3-5 years

If I had a Legion 5i Pro, I'd definitely use it for some engineering related work, as that's mainly why I need a new PC. Something like Solidworks, Inventor, etc. And of course sometimes for gaming, why not?

Hi Ben! As this laptop becomes more compact, isn't it likely to get hotter?

Will the ASUS A15 Ryzen 7 6800H with RTX 3050Ti and 16Gb of RAM be sufficient for solidworks usage and other modeling softwares?

In solidworks large assembly where the parts are reaching 4000 and above, I am doubtful the slim 7 model would perform smoothly. I am working as a drafter. Looking for a laptop to replace desktop

What about the CPU? As most tasks in Solidworks are depending on the CPU power, not GPU. And also, what is the program used to run that benchmark?

Every Youtube reviewer seems to think that it's all about price/performance ratio a.k.a. bang for the buck. Quite a lot of people (me included) however need a specific set of features on a laptop and without that specific set of features no bang for the buck will be able to make up for it. In my case, I need a 16" 16:10 WQXGA 2-in-1 gaming laptop with a mini-LED touch screen. Only with this prerequisite fulfilled would I take into consideration this kind of penny-pinching for the best price/performance ratio or bang for the buck. And how many laptops are there currently that fulfill this prerequisite of mine? Well, it turns out exactly one (1); Asus ROG Flow X16. It's neither the cheapest nor the fastest but it has what I need and that's what matters in the end...

hey!! do you think the new samsung galaxybook 4 360 with intel iris xe 96 and 150u core 7 processor +16gb ram would be a decent pick for solidworks and other 3d software. please rate your selection, as I would need the device for also other things and I am confused if this would be able to carry my modelling operations (moderate level)

I would rather go for legion 5i pro because it wont get that hot like the S7, thiner laptop means less performance, correct me if I’m wrong

Great video, have been wondering wether i should go for intel or amd as an engineer that works with cad and video/photo editing. I am pretty sure that i would go for a legion chassis though.

The maximum amount of RAM on this laptop is supposedly 24 GB, is that enough to run large assemblies smoothly or should I get a legion 5 pro with 32 GB if I am mainly going to be working with large assemblies?
