There was no need for a sequel that was politically correct. I wanted the sequel to be about Joel and Elly helping to rebuild parts of a post-apocalyptic civilization that would eventualy find a legitimate cure or that the Cordecyps was a government B.O.W that breached containment along with other unpleasant surprises. If that cannot be delivered, then I'm happy with the franchise ending after the Last of Us 2012.
