Suzanne-thank you! Another great video! The perfect matching bind-off for my daughter's birthday shawl. I had worried about the bind-off & you, again, have given the PERFECT answer. Video is concise, yet includes all the info a knitter would need. ❤️

This is so ridiculously beautiful. I'm binding off a garther stitch edge on a sweater and the continuity is almost making me cry with happiness. It's my first sweater. I'm excited. Thank you for your help, Suzanne!

I really like the way you show how to finish off the last stitch when binding off in the round. Other online vids don’t show how to finish off the last stitch when doing the Icelandinc bind off.

This is one of my favorite bind off’s. I was almost in a trace watching you demonstrate. I love how decorative it makes the project. A post from your Facebook knitting group for me interested in learning this bind off method. Thank you for a wonderful video tutorial

I have always enjoyed your videos. I think that you do not edit your slipped or mistakes. You just show how to fix it. Thank you 😉😊

I used this on the garter stitch buttonhole bands and back neck of a cardigan I knit for my granddaughter. I found using one size larger needle to bind off helped. I would never have tried it without your help.

I can't believe I have been doing this bind off wrong! When I read how to do it, I misinterpreted the instruction to "insert the needle through the second stitch as if to knit". I've been going through that stitch and straight out the back. Then I yarn over and pull the knit st through both stitches. Watching your video very closely, I see that you are going through that st and then back out through the first st so only one st is over the right needle when you yarn over for the knit st. I DO NOT RECOMMEND MY METHOD as it results in just a slight variation of the standard bind off. It does not make a decorative bind off like the Icelandic bind of is intended to be. Thanks so much for the clear video showing the correct way to do it.

Merci Suzanne,
as usual this is a very usefull video, very well filmed with many details and explanations on the movements of the needles, the structure of the stitches and the video is slow enough so we have time to catch everything and to practice at the same time.
you are a great teacher!

Suzanne, should one "tweak" what will become the last stitch on the bind-off row to prevent an enlarged final stitch? In other words, should one use a reverse stitch mount for the 2nd stitch on the last row before the bind-off? For anyone reading this, Suzanne's video on preventing an enlarged last stitch is excellent!

So beautiful! I was looking for a nice bind off for a cabled project and this is great! It's even possible to knit the cable stitches in pairs together and bind them off in one go👍
Thank you!

It really helps to use fairly pointy needles like these Hiya Hiya needles.

Hi,
I tried this bind off both in garter stitch and in stockinette, following your advices. it is quick and easy. It is really beautifull in garter stitch because it allows the fabric to stay very flat, the edge is exactly like another garter stitch row and doesn't bend or curve on the front side, like a regular bind off. So it is completely reversible.
In stockinette, it is interesting and even decorative because it produces a little ridge almost like a little i-cord but the fabric rolls on it self (not so much..)
Catherine (sorry for me"french" english style of writing...)
PS: 300 stitches in a minute Suzanne? yeah!
