When I firsf moved to California in 1980, this song was very popular. I re, ember it from music playing at the very first party I was invited to by my co workers. ❤

This used to get a lot of radio play in Oz on 4QR/4BH/4KQ although it wasn’t a single from the album… I regard this as his next best after the Saddler

Tiller brought me here but first time that I heard this sample was on Infamous Mobb - Borderline. That producer flipped this pretty well too.

Such an underated singer songwriter, in my opinion he should have been nurtured more by the music moguls of the a shame and sorely missed.

Oh, gosh, has it been 25 years right after this Aussie-based resident in all of Mr. Peter Allen succumbed to AIDS, although his legacy and voice will live on for so many years to come, as his first emphasis track circa 1980 called One Step Over the Borderline proves to be like a huge, moderate smash hit indeed. Wonderful song, as I congratulate you anyway, PA! (BTW, ex-Doobie Brother Michael McDonald also supplies the background vocals for that said tune as darn well, too.)

Love this album. Saw him live in Los Angeles in early '80's, bought the album and still listen to it. Thank you for uploading!
