Nice reminder of the history of the business and how long they have been in operation. We have lost so many mainstays of the high street that it’s good to see John Lewis trying to continue to stay relevant and meet the needs of its customers.

Nice advert.

That is a great advert, absolutely love it, great to see a nod to its history and great voice over with nuggets of wisdom, totally agree with 'the older I get the less I know' - but John Lewis know when you stand for something, or at least try to, you never stop trying to be your best.

Honestly it's no the John Lewis Christmas advert I'm waiting for anymore. I just really hope it focuses more on the heart, charm and warmth of Christmas. These adverts don't change the regular shoppers, but the holiday shoppers I'm sure can be affected.

Love that they gave a nod to JL Oxford Street where a bomb shelter was set up in the basement! And so glad Never Knowingly Unsold has returned ❤

I've watched this three times now and I have to say it's rare to find an advert that moves me. I've worked in branding for nearly 15 years so I thought I was immune to most advertising but I actually got a lump in my throat. It's fresher than what they've done for a while and while the 'through the ages' trope is not new, there's an energy to this and an emotion that really resonated with me without being saccharine. Absolutely vital they brought back the 'never knowingly undersold' and the voiceover ties nicely to the reintroduction of that message without hammering you over the head. My John Lewis is a source of great pride to me in my town and I feel like they've understood the bricks and mortar heritage department store identity that they've had all along. Great work

This is lovely. John Lewis is my happy place. Forget Tiffany’s - nothing bad happens at Johnny Lou Lou’s (I even left my phone in the loo in Oxford street branch and it was at lost property when I went back)

Historical revisionism of Britain and degenerate messaging.

John Lewis is still stuck in it's woke rut. How's that going for you so far? No thank you.

A boring overused concept going through the years. An annoying rambling mess of a voice-over. Confusing and creating no appeal to go to the store or any products. A dull song that elicited no emotion. A backward step to an old slogan. Very disappointing from a brand that has usually been good at Christmas.
