I think the main reason why they filmed the scene with Clooney, is to end the film with a joke, and not with a promise to go back to see Keaton or Affleck, to avoid another situation like Cavill's Superman in Black Adam

Y'all laughing but Clooney's cameo had the biggest pop in my theatre. Mainly because no one in a million years thought we would ever see his Batman again lmao.
Deep down, we all lowkey loved his Batman. Especially as kids.

I actually think George Clooney would be a good Batman, he just didn’t have the movie to show it off. He was put into a movie to solely just advertise toys, I thought his jawline fit perfectly for the Batman’s cowl. I actually think this will be a selection for Batman: Brave and the bold. Because he was always a older Batman
