What is interesting about the block heater option. The block heater is factory installed in all Cummins engines. The option you got is for a factory installed cable. I look forward to the ZF 8 speed. My wife's 2018 Ram 2500 4wd 6.7L only has 42k miles. I was considering an Allison swap, but the ZF seems better. I put a 4Wheel Popup camper on it. It is now to tall to fit in the parking garage at places my wife goes. So I bought a Jeep Wrangler JLU for adventure trips and local trips. The 3.42 gear ratio is okay for fuel economy. We got 26mpg average on a 6k mile trip before the camper. We now get 17mpg with the camper and towing the Jeep, based on a trip from Lancaster, CA to Rathdrum, ID and back. The 2 extra gears on the lower end will allow the engine to stay in the sweet spot in more situations.

I test the axles for these trucks. We are still making the srw air suspension axles so I'm guessing it will be a later option.

Its good to see someone else besides me knows that Carli recommends a higher air pressure in the front vs rear. Mine are at 52F 46R. I added the Carli shackle try that on the new truck makes a big difference unless you get the bag set up. I have the 7.3 and I am anxious to see what powertrain gas is in the 25 ram.

Thanks for the video. Wanting a fairly similar setup as your goal. 3500 srw megacab with a nicer ride. Due to living in California, probably going to have to wait for a gas engine version. Would be cool if they drop in the Cummins octane engine that uses the same engine block as the diesel.

FYI I just did a build with my local dealer, and I have the print out for a 2025 2500 Laramie and you can order it with the rear auto level suspension. They have a few changes that are nice but ill be waiting for the release on the 7th before ordering just to make sure all the Specs meet my needs. I want out of my 2023 2500.

Ram any day over ford or Chevy. Its a real big rig engine. 6 speed is great in Cummins. 8 speed has to prove itself.

What would you do if you had a flat or blowout on your truck towing your camper cross country? 37” tires and 33” spare lol I have the same issue. I have 37’s and put a 35” spare under there it about touches my tail pipe (had to remove the heat shield)

The only thing I’m confused with is he already has a 2024 but wants a new 2025. It’s cool. Get what you want. Hopefully there are not to many recalls. Nothing like paying $103k for a $65k truck.

Rocky, i dont know if i missed it in the video, but what rear end are they running with the new ZF 8speed. Are they staying with the 3.73, or are they going to a 3.42 or a 3 55.

Air suspension is why I ordered a 2500 instead of 3500. I have a 22 dually for heavy towing.

you can also let off the throttle peddle the weight of the trailer and loss of power will slow the truck down if on level ground going down hill different story

For the haters, my 2023 Ram 3500 SRW HO tows my 16k fifth wheel head over heels better than my 2022 Duramax SRW.

Unloaded yes the Duramax drives and rides smoother.
