I love how the H2A version of Carbine shoots. Has a nice powerful sound, feels good. Just a great weapon.

I seem to recall that the fluff text on the carbine in H5 notes that covenant civil war era carbines no longer use radioactive ammo, having traded it for a non-radioactive substitute (i think the new rounds used alkaline metals instead)

Seems like a very non-Elite weapon, for a race that has an honour based culture, this weapon seems very torturous.

I love that line, absolutely brilliant, made me smile.
I don't think the Covies have ever heard of the Geneva convention, or signed it. And they're violating it on other things like treatment of prisoners, targeting civilians, genocide, and probably a few other things. If anything, they'd probably go out of their way to violate the Geneva convention.

The carbine itself I quite like. It's precise, powerful, good at range, and sounds nice. The BR is alright at dealing with Elites and Brutes, but wastes ammo against Grunts where one round will do. The Carbine is semi auto, so I can play sniper against those Grunts.

I always thought the carbine is the best looking weapon in Halo. It's great in campaign as it feels like a singleshot BR so that it saves your ammo a lot

In Halo 2 it's said the carbine was a smaller version of the technology seen in the fuel rod canon and Hunter assault canon, as well the Scarab mining plasma beam. I've always imagined the rounds for the carbine were the same depleted fuel rods just smaller.

This has always been my favorite mid range weapon in the games. Fires almost as fast as you can pull the trigger and can get headshots. Looks a bit goofy, but feels good in your hands.

Carbine rounds are not only radioactive and toxic. They are also explosive and move at hypersonic speeds.
