That's how i play. It allows me to go straight to finger picking or lead quite easily. Im not a shredder though!

Im getting old I started playing guitar a few years back I’m not very good but I get by ! I use my fingers all the time to play and find it uncomfortable and awkward to use a pick now as I played so long without one 👍

Can you do the loose wrist strumming without a pick? Down strums are middle fingernail and Up strums are thumbnail. It’s so difficult.
