The orphaned son of American Thomas Henry Caine (Bill Fletcher) and Chinese lady Kwai Lin, who was born in China in the middle of the 19th century, is Kwai Chang Caine (David Carradine). He is admitted to learn in a Shaolin monastery following the death of his maternal grandpa, and he eventually becomes a Shaolin priest and martial arts specialist there.

Kung fu tv series was great in the philosophy, but the fighting scenes and the dialogues were crap, the masters teachings were worth watching the episodes.
