Been a fan of Beeple's art for a few years, and when I heard he was releasing his art work as a physical and digital token linked on the blockchain, I had to invest in it. Probably not selling until this MF is like $1,000,000. Great job Beeple, keep up the amazing work!

bought for the purpose of making money, less to do with the art. anything collectible is going up in value nowadays. no different to Pokemon cards. The people who buy them dont even care about Pokemon, just profit. its a new insane world

So now we are in the post blockchain stamp collection bubble... I understand the tech behind NFTs but this just seems like blending the possessiveness of the old world with the new digital transient one. Like we are genetically inclined to collect things of no functional value (asides some abstract "it inspires me" bs) and this is an ingenious way to scratch that itch. Its like some guy gloating about his DVD collection or star wars figurines, no one gave af then and they dont now except for the greater fool willing to buy it for a few dollars more.

Nice unboxing video. Straight to the point. This is fascinating to me as a traditional artist, both in terms of how much of an effect it is having for the artist but also that people do seem willing to pay to get good art. I hope people will value my art like this one day.

Pretty cool coming from a baseball card collecting background, I can see this really blowing up. I remember when nft came out for sports cards and i thought it would never work but here we are 5 or so years later and its reality. Very cool to see where this goes in the next 20 years.
