The older Diana got the more confident and beautiful she got… true. The whole world fell in love with her. But unlike Philip’s prediction Charles did not fall for her.

If Queen Elizabeth had listened to Princess Margaret, the world probably wouldn't have known Diana but she would've definitely been alive today, happy with her husband (a different man), children and grandchildren. She wouldn't have been part of the royal family but she would've lived peacefully without all the drama that happened.

They should have listened to Margaret. Charles should have never married Diana especially if he was already in love with another woman and if Charles truly loved Camilla then he should have renounced his claim to the throne if he really wanted to be with her. Would it have been messy yes but I think the public would have supported him and Diana would have been spared the years of misery and heartbreak in the royal family.

The problem with this scene that Margret makes is that Camilla was already married. Nearly 10 years and Camilla was also juggling two men and her children. Shameful.

Margaret had more heart than all of them ❤ and she was the only one who was sorry and cared for those mentally ill cousins when she discovered them. I will always feel sorry for her in that scene where she tells her family that her husband is cheating on her and they pretend that nothing happened. They’ve became emotionally deformed over the years, losing their humanity with every year, becoming almost like stones themselves trying to preserve this antiquated institution.

They should have listened to Margaret. They underestimated how much of a spoiled man-child he was. He would never have given up the throne for Camilla. Once he saw how Diana was more popular, he was done. He went running home in a tantrum to his other mummy.
