Anthem of the Second Mexican Empire. The Pictures are of Emperor Maximiliano I of Mexico and his wife Carlota.

Maximiliano reigned from 11 July 1863 – 19 June 1867 when he was brutally murded by the republican scum Benito Juarez.

During my 2020 trip to Austria (before covid) I visited the imperial crypt where all the Hapsburgs are buried. It is not uncommon to see flowers and candles placed at the tombs by monarchists. Furthermore at the tomb of Maximilian, someone give a Mexican touch and placed a sombrero.

This is actually the National Anthem. It was used during the Republic before the Second Empire, and it is the current one as well.
