I think you are one of, if not the only artist who understand the point of AUTO's character when giving him a human design : he is a cold, EMOTIONLESS machine. Too many humanizations give the character to much emotion, losing what make the character so intimidating and "unique" among sentient, feeling robots. The angular body & face shapes, the monotone expressions, the robotic movements... THIS is AUTOPILOT.

In the original version of the story, AUTO looked more like an android than a wheel while the humans devolved into green blobs. I'm glad Pixar changed it so the humans were just obese & AUTO didn't look humanoid.

I’d like to see humanoid designs for the other robots…I personally picture EVE as having a sort of businesswoman design in a white suit, and Wall-E just because rather average, if a bit messy…maybe having a farmer/country design
