Sorry this video is difficult to understand what's going on because it's sideways and the writing keeps getting lost in the background colors.

None of the Procion materials I picked up mention using salt. Why do you use that if you already use the soda ash?

Soda doesn't mix dissolve well in cold water, and dye can clump together if put straight into the dye bath, so it's best to dissolve both in a small amount of hot water first.

I put the buckets in the bathtub and turn up the hot water heater for that time. Much easier! An old porcelain tub won’t dye, only the stuff you need to scrub off anyway.
Soda ash adjusts the ph to make the best dye bath. Why the salt? It’s ph neutral, is it doing something else?

Shouldn't you have bleached your clothes before dyeing? Otherwise you're just mixing dye colour A with clothes colour B and hoping for the best.
